What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file placed on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. It allows the site to recognize your browser, keep your session alive or measure audience. legalformshq.com uses three categories of cookies, described below.
1. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential to run the site: authentication and session management, security (fraud and bot protection), saving your document drafts and remembering your consent choices. They are set without prior consent, because the service cannot work without them, and cannot be disabled. Lifespan: from the session duration up to 6 months (consent cookie).
2. Analytics cookies
These cookies help us understand how the site is used (pages visited, journeys, traffic sources) to improve the service. They are only set with your consent. Maximum lifespan: 13 months; the collected data is kept for a maximum of 25 months.
3. Marketing cookies (Google Ads)
These cookies, set by Google, measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns (Google Ads conversion tracking) and, where applicable, show you relevant ads. They are only set with your explicit consent. If you decline, your browsing is not tracked for advertising purposes. Maximum lifespan: 13 months.
Managing and withdrawing your consent
On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline, category by category, analytics and marketing cookies. Continuing to browse without making a choice does not count as consent.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, through the “Manage my cookies” link at the bottom of every page of the site. Your choice is kept for 6 months, after which you will be asked again. You can also configure your browser to block or delete cookies; blocking strictly necessary cookies may however prevent the service from working.
